Micro-dosing movement with dumbbells
Well folks, it has been a hard week here at Seven Movements, I apologize for missing last week’s newsletter as we are heads down trying to get our platform ready for y’all. We are just cleaning up some of the final issues and will begin testing with a few select colleagues this week to work out the final bugs.
In other Seven Movements news we have kicked off our Parkinson’s study as we begin to put it together with the experts over at University of British Columbia. Our Parkinson’s program is going to be a game changer for those with the disease and we cannot wait to get it out to those who need it most.
In the meantime we LOVE how you are all following along with Seven Minute Morning on Youtube. Our numbers are growing every week which means more and more of you are building a consistent movement habit with us. Keep up the amazing work.

Three cool things that will help your health
Is resting good for pain? I know I am tempted to relax on the lawn chair and catch some rays! And that is a great idea for awhile. But eventually we have to get moving. Especially when we are dealing with pain.
Taking care of your lawn in the heat of summer can be a challenge. Learn more about the best ways to care for your lawn, and your lawn will take care of you!
It may seem obvious to simply drink more water when it is hot out, but there is more to it. Strategy and prepartation when dealing with extreme weather is important in the depth of winter as much as it is in the peak of summer heat. Learn about hydration during heat waves.
Feeling fatigued?! I think it is an interesting question, and there is more to it. Fatigued in what way? As I write this, I am feeling the physical fatigue of the day after a workout, after a short vacation. I know my body well, and realize this is due to my body clearing some held up ‘toxins’ from food and drink and lack of activity-driving, sitting, etc. But I also know I need that down time. I think educating yourself about fatigue, and how to respond when you are tired or even extremely tired and fatigued is valuable. Thanks to Tom Morrison for explaining this in a personal story.
This is the time of year when some of us are travelling. Riding in a car, or sitting for any duration can cause hip and low back tension that can lead to pain. A teacher of mine pointed out that riding in a car (even a Rolls Royce or some other amazing car) has an inherent vibration. The vibration is subtle but it is there, and sitting for a long time in a flexed (bent forward) position causes our deep muscles to contract. Take a look at this video that explains this a bit more.
Catch you next week for more awesomeness! 🎉
